Basic Lawn Maintenance Program

Routine lawn maintenance will be performed in a timely and professional manner.  Turf will be mowed and maintained to its specific requirements, depending on the current season and weather.  Generally our maintenance programs are on a consistent and reliable schedule.

Lawn Maintenance will include mowing turf areas, stick edging of all hardscapes, edging of all plant beds, string trimming where needed (a.k.a. weed eating), and blowing off all hardscapes.

Complete Lawn Maintenance Program

Includes our Basic Lawn Maintenance Program with the addition of:

Pruning shall encourage structural strength and accentuate the plants natural forms within its location.  Plants will be pruned according to their requirements and customer requests.  All trees up to 12' ft. in height will be pruned annually as needed.

First prune ~ Spring pruning - Pruning of spring bloomers (Azalea, Hawthorne, Loropetalum, etc.) after blooms are spent and all other shrubbery/trees as needed.

Second prune ~ Summer pruning - Pruning all evergreen shrubs (Holly, Ligustrum, Wax Myrtle, etc.) that have developed "new growth" in effort to keep shapeliness.

Third prune  ~ Fall pruning - Pruning of all summer bloomers (Gardenia, Hydrangea, Abelia, etc.), pruning of perennial flowers/plants, tree limb pruning, ornamental grass pruning, and all other shrubbery/trees as needed.

The times are changing and some customers have found that they may need another prune in the offseason to keep shapeliness in hedges etc.

At pruning time please indicate if you have a composting area for debris or would like us to haul it for you.

Healthy Lawn Care Program

Our healthy lawn care program promotes overall good turf health, vigor, and color throughout the year.  Weed control is obtained with market leading products using pre-emergent and post-emergent methods.  Routine turf inspections, during our lawn care application, help us determine if other pests or diseases are present during the service.  Carolina lawncare technicians are involved in continuous education to bring the best information to your lawn. We guarantee our service.

Treatment 1

This first application is a pre-emergent herbicide used to prevent crab grass and other weeds from germinating in the spring.  The product DOES need to be watered in to be activated.  Rainfall within one week of application time should be sufficient to activate the product.  A "spot treatment" of any existing broadleaf weeds will also be performed.

 Treatments 2-4

We apply a complete balanced fertilizer, heavy in nutrients, to provide your turf with a continuous slow feeding.  Celcius, a market leading herbicide, will be applied to kill all broadleaf weeds that have sprouted up.  No special care is needed.  Rainfall or any precipitation will help activate this treatment.

Treatment 5
We will apply a potassium rich fertilizer to help strengthen your turf's root system in preparation for the changing season.     Rainfall or any precipitation will help to activate the fertilizer granules.

Treatment 6
Spectacle, a pre-emergent herbicide, will be applied during this service.  The herbicide will aid in the prevention of many broadleaf and grassy weeds.  For maximum activity against germinating weeds, Spectacle herbicide requires rainfall or irrigation prior to weed germination.

Treatment 7
A soil sample will be conducted during this service to determine soil pH, potassium and phosphorus levels.  The core samples will help us determine if the soil pH will need to be altered in the season to come.  Your soil sample will be analyzed at NC State Department of Agriculture and the results should be available within 30-60 days after submission.  Any remaining broadleaf weeds will be "spot treated" during this service.

Healthy Lawn Care Program Plus

Includes our Healthy Lawn Care Program with the addition of:

Core Aeration
Core Aeration is the process of making thousands of small holes in the turf.  These holes allow fertilizer, water, and air to reach the root zone quicker, resulting in new growth and increased root development.  These holes also open up the soil and help reduce thatch build up and soil compaction, allowing your lawn to breathe and grow.

Fire Ant Control Treatment
An application of fire ant control (Top Choice) will give yearlong control for these pests.  Rain or irrigation will activate this product.  Top Choice also controls nuisance ants for 3 months and fleas/ticks for 1 month.

Grub Control Treatment (2)
This application will help control the population of white grubs in the lawn, as well as other sub-surface feeding insects.  Worms, nuisance ants, fire ants, fleas, and ticks are controlled for approximately 60 days with the application of this product.  The product WILL need to be watered in to be activated.

Healthy Lawn Care Program Premier

Includes the Healthy Lawn Care Program Plus with these additional features:

Disease Control Treatments (3)
This application of disease control is applied to prevent or reduce the active status of a fungus. Our fungicide products lead the market in control. Although we use high quality products, some active fungi need multiple treatments.

Insect Control Lawn Treatments (3)
Insect control using Crosscheck, this insecticide is used to control a wide range of insects and pests, including ants, spiders, crickets, and various multi-legged pests. We treat all turf areas surrounding the property. The application will decrease the overall number of pests on the exterior of your home.

Tree and Shrub Treatment Program
Horticultural oil can be applied for pest control. Horticultural oil is a natural product that controls various pests in the landscape. A fungicide can be applied to trees and shrubs to decrease the chance of disease activity on your plant material (root diseases are not included). Integrated pest management will be used to determine what insect control products to use to ensure those nasty lawn pests do not damage plant material.
