Our team installs French drains using the burrito wrap method, where a wrap of fabric is placed in the trench against the bottom and walls to create an open shell. The drain pipe is placed along the bottom of this shell, covered with 2"-3" washed limestone gravel, and then wrapped back over the top of the drain and covered with native soil.
